High Tensile Steel Plates
High-tensile steels are low-carbon or steels at the lower end of the medium-carbon range, which
have additional alloying ingredients in order to increase their strength, wear properties or
specifically tensile strength. These alloying components consist of chromium, manganese,
silicon, molybdenum, nickel and vanadium. High Strength Steel Plate is good,
strong,
long-lasting steel, but it isn't as light as its more high-tech, the steel known as chromoly. A
workhorse of the industry, chromoly is a light in weight and strong steel. High tensile
plate
within equations, is the maximum stress that a material can withstand while being stretched or
pulled before breaking. In ductile materials the ultimate tensile strength can be higher,
whereas in brittle materials the ultimate tensile strength is close to the yield point. It is
also known for its atmospheric corrosion resistance, the degradation inflicted to materials
through exposure to air-borne pollutants.
High Strength & High Tensile Steel Sheets & Plates can be used in several
industries like civil
industries, automobile industries, agriculture industries, in industries involving use of heat
exchangers, water heaters, pressure vessels, desalination plants, impellers and shafts, rotors,
seawater systems, digesters and other equipment, power plant stocks, mining, and earthmoving
industries, etc.
